When we categorize people on the basis of their waking patterns, we have got two extreme kinds. The first category is that of night owls. They sleep late at night and thus wake up late the next morning and the pattern continues. It is generally assumed that these are the ones who enjoy life. On the other hand, there are the early risers i.e. those who have got a habit of waking up early in the morning.

Research carried out in Japan also concluded that if you want to lose weight then it is recommended to exercise before breakfast. It also helps to reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes.

In 2008 a research was conducted by Texas University which concluded that early riser students achieved high score than the night owls.
